For every ten Brazilian tourists, only one travels abroad

In the last three years, domestic tourism has gained momentum and importancein the Brazilian economy. For every ten Brazilians who do domestic travel, onlyone travels abroad. Among those traveling to other countries, 70% are also domestic travelers. About 30% of the total cost of international travel stays in Brazil, benefiting brazilian companies mainly in the areas of air transportation, tour operators and travel agencies. This data is provided by the Department of Studies and Research(Depes) of the Ministry of Tourism.
