Belo Horizonte currently ranks 7th on the ICCA (International Congress and Congress Association) list, an entity that measures the participation of different travel destinations in the hosting of international events.
The state has the third largest economy in the country, and apart from Belo Horizonte, has another 5 centers for business tourism. These include Araxá, Juiz de Fora, ouro Preto, Uberaba and Uberlândia.
