Conceção da Barra de Minas offers its visitors an experiential, hands-on stay, where it’s possible to participate in craft workshops and get to see up close how the city’s products are made. A popular tradition is the production of postcards in the image of this quiet city. The workshops awaken the interest of visitors, with their production of both utilitarian and decorative objects.

Travel Tips: The city’s carnival happens one week before the official date, with presentations from ten street groups as well as the Preto e Branco and Verde e Amarelo samba schools. In June the “Arraiá do Bota-Ovo” features quadrilhas, a dance similar to square dancing, as well as stalls selling foods typical of the region and several other attractions. In December the Patron’s Festival is celebrated with fairs and musical presentations.
