Ouro Branco

Ouro Branco is located within the mountains of Serra de Ouro Branco. It is the original location of the Serra do Espinhaço and home to one of the richest eco-systems in the world, as well as one of the oldest parishes in Minas. Protruding from between the mountains, the village has preserved important buildings from the 18^th century and, just like many other historic Minas` cities, the religious observance in Ouro Branco is one of its most prominent features. In this district, visitors can find the church of Santo Antônio do Itatiaia, which was awarded the title of National Historical Heritage site and is the third oldest church in Minas.
